This sumptuous Syrah spent 16 months luxuriating in new French oak, and was bottled in February 2009. This seductive blend first entices with its deep, luscious, berry color and its perfume is plush layers of effusive fruit, violets, exotic spice and cocoa. The vivid flavors of this wine are wonderfully balanced with the juicy dark berry fruits, peppery spice, hints of fig with creamy vanilla and toasty tobacco providing a dense, velvety mouth-feel. This is not your father's Merlot!
