Cadence: Cadence is dedicated to showcasing the finest vineyard sites in Washington State. Our Bordeaux-styled blends are our interpretation of the best qualities reflected in Washington’s greatest vineyard terroir. Cadence believes in blending that creates a balanced wine of greater character than the individual components. Their wines express the power, intensity or elegance of the vineyard reflected in the characteristics of the varietals on the vineyard site . 9320 15th Avenue South, Unit CF, Seattle WA 98108 (206) 381-9507. Nota Bene Cellars: With six vintages released and 11 of those wines scoring 90 or better by major publications, Nota Bene is very happy with their success in the Washington wine industry. Here’s an example of some of the press: The Wine Advocate, November 2009 “The 2006 Abbinare is a blend of 61% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the balance Cabernet Franc and Malbec. It spent 21 months in predominantly seasoned French oak. Its aromatic array includes cigar box, violets, red currents, and black cherry leading to a spicy, silky-textured wine with excellent grip and a lengthy, pure finish. This pleasure-bent effort has enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years and will be at its best from 2011 to 2018”. — Dr. Jay Miller.
