The Company

Rapids Camp Lodge offers a legendary Alaskan fishing experience, providing unparalleled vacations that combine amazing outdoor adventures with exquisite gourmet foods and wines.

The Lodge is situated on 10 acres of serene riverfront property just seven miles up-river from King Salmon, and an eighty minute flight from Anchorage.

Rapids Camp Lodge prides itself on supplying guests with the best dining experience from fresh caught salmon and top grade steaks to fine wine.

Their Goal

Rapids Camp Lodge was looking for exceptional wines that would augment their dining program in a unique way.

 

Our Solution

Northwest Cellars’ award-winning wines and specially designed wine labels showcasing Rapids Camp Lodge’s beautiful grounds and setting.

Northwest Cellars owner Bob Delf explains the process, “Our designers do an amazing job working with each client’s artwork or photos to create a truly unique label, expressing each brand, sentiment or event in way that really distinguishes it.”

Rapids Camp Lodge currently pours six different Northwest Cellars wines: 2004 Red Blend, 2004 Indulgence, 2006 Pinot Noir, 2006 Chardonnay-Viognier, 2006 Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon and 2007 Adagio (Sauvignon Blanc-Chardonnay). However, the 2004 Northwest Cellars Indulgence, a blend of Petite Sirah, Syrah and Pinot Noir, remains the most requested. Each wine comes with a distinct label.

The Result

The specially designed labels have provided an additional branding opportunity for Rapids Camp Lodge. Having this private label house wine sets the Lodge apart from competitors, and complements their strong emphasis on dining.

The Le Cordon Bleu trained chef staff has been especially impressed with the quality of Northwest Cellars’ wine as well as the selection of varietals available, which makes interesting food pairings a breeze.
