The continued rise of Northwest Cellars has gotten an big assist from its association with winemaker Robert Smasne and the network of vineyards he’s worked with over the years. In the case of this white Rhône variety, it is the Newhouse family’s Upland Vineyard in the Yakima Valley. This wine is made by Dave Moore, the only wine in owner Bob Delf’s lineup produced in Kirkland, Wash. Gorgeous aromas of orange, tutti frutti, candied pineapple and rosewater funnel into off-dry flavors of pineapple and Circus Peanuts.

Rating: Excellent

Production: 210 cases
