2012 Syrah (Columbia Valley AVA)

100% Syrah |  Only 223 cases. $32 per bottle.

This Columbia Valley Syrah is a blend of grapes from two vineyards: Spofford Station (Walla Walla Valley) and Tasawik Vineyard (Columbia Valley). Dark and dense with leather, dark chocolate, concentrated blueberry and spicy vanilla. It is clean and focused with favors of dark fruit, mid palate red fruit, and a touch of mint and tar all blended with integrated tannins and medium acidity for a beautiful structure. Elegance defines this wine.

2012 Madrigal (Upland Vineyard, Snipes Mountain AVA)

70% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah |  142 cases. $24 per bottle.

This Rhône-inspired red blend has a nose of black cherry, cranberry, plum and a touch of pink bubblegum on top of savory notes of game and white pepper leads to a palate of all that and more with spiced berries, kirsch, and more white pepper. It has a round supple structure and finishes with easy tannins laced with spicy red fruit.

2012 Merlot (Coyote Canyon, Horse Heaven Hills AVA)

100% Merlot  |  104 cases. $32 per bottle.

Opens with black plum and strawberry compote, cherry fruit leather, and really good fruitcake aromas. The palate follows with some of that fruitcake spice, more dark fruit, and notes of cola, mocha, and mint. A lush mouthfeel, good acidity, and smooth tannins, take you to a lovely finish of spicy blackberries.
