Let us Serenade you! On April 7, we are proud to release our 2013 Serenade.

Making this wine is always a challenge, because I want to price it under $20, but I want it to taste like it costs $35+. Being a math geek (as well as a wine geek), that’s a $15+ challenge. And I love a challenge!

I usually use less expensive fruit to help keep the price low, but for 2013 I wanted to increase the quantity …which meant adding more (and more expensive) fruit. Most of that was a beautiful Merlot from Golden Ridge Vineyard in Walla Walla.

The result is a wine that I think you’ll love, no matter the price. But I kept it well under $20. In fact, our Cellar Rats can buy it by the case for just over $15 a bottle (buy a case of any wine we sell and you’re automatically a Cellar Rat for a year!).

And with that, I have a challenge for you: try to find another wine in that price range that even comes close to our delicious Serenade. Or better yet, don’t do that…just drink the Serenade! J
